| This years National Eisteddfod takes place a short journey from Tredegar in Ebbw Vale. This is the first time that the Eisteddfod has been held in the area for over half a century, when Ebbw Vale was home to the festival in 1958. The former steelworks is home to the Eisteddfod this time, a site which plays an integral role in both local and national industrial history. The Band will be eager to take away a victory on home turf with an entertainment contest programme and will be seen on TV screens across the world, with the Eisteddfod being broadcast internationally.  | Location : The Works, Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent
